Azerbaïdjan: Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in Eurovision.

In May 2009, the duo Inga Anouch, Armenian singers perform the song "Jan Jan" at the Eurovision Song Contest.
Rovchan Nasirli, Azerbaijani Baku vote as 43 of his fellow citizens for the song "Jan Jan".
The next day he was summoned by the authorities of his country, Azerbaijan to explain why he committed an act as unpatriotic.
"A Ministry of National Security called me and started asking me why I voted for the Armenian group, saying that was probably an unpatriotic, the investigator said such an attitude showed that I was easy prey. I explained that I had just voted for 'Jan Jan' because I liked their style of music and not for political reasons. " he said.
At the time of the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1990, fighting between the majority Armenians supported by Yerevan and the Azerbaijani army were 30,000 deaths and a truce is not respected in force since 1994.
A diplomatic dispute between Yerevan and Baku still over Nagorno-Karabakh (4,400 km2), a region populated by ethnic Armenians is officially part of Azerbaijan.
Azerbaijan was third in the Eurovision with "Always", from underarms and Arach, while "Jan Jan" finished tenth. This is Norway, which won the Eurovision with "Fairytale," Alexander Rybak.
On 14 May 2011, Azerbaijan wins finally the 56th Eurovision contest in the stadium in Dusseldorf, Germany with a beautiful song, "Running Scared (Running Scared)" group "and «Eldar Gasonov Nigar Jamalqui» composed by Stefan Örn, Sandra and Iain Farquharson Bjurman, written by Stefan Örn and Sandra Bjurman.
On the morning of May 14, 2011, Armenia had to break the fragile cease-fire in Nagorno Karabakh under way since May 12, 1994!
The Republic of Azerbaijan (86,600 km2), with Baku as its capital is a Caucasian countries, populated by 8,372,373 people. Its official language is Azeri, and its currency the Manat.
Azerbaijan is chaired since 2003 by Ilham Aliyev (b. 1961), who succeeded his father Heydar Aliyev Ali Rza ogly (1923-2003), former KGB chief in Azerbaijan and the country's first president.
Organized annually by the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) in Geneva, Switzerland, Eurovision was created by Marcel Bezençon (1907-1981), director of Swiss television in 1956 who never played a political role.
