Rwanda / DRC: Congolese Gorillas return from exile

The male is called Ntabwoba (Fearless) and female gorillas meet the names of Pinga, Serufuli, Dunia, and Tumaini Itebero.

These larger cousins of man are of Congolese origin. They just stay in the center of socialization at Kinigi (Ruhengeri), Rwanda, where they lived on vacation since January 2006.

On July 23, 2011, through cooperation between the services of preservation of the nature of the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda, they were repatriated to their home region, the site of Kasugho Lubero, 250 km north west of Goma, capital of North Kivu.
Lowland gorillas "Gorilla berengei graueri," the six Congolese primates bear little resemblance to the mountain gorillas of Rwanda.
They were narrowly saved from the clutches of poachers.
By receiving six primates at the border between Rwanda and Congo, Chantal Kambibi Rugen, provincial minister of the environment in North Kivu praised the cooperation between the two countries as part of the protection of endangered animal spaces.

Six primates were sent to Goma airport where they were loaded onto a rental helicopter to the natural habitat of great apes, the sanctuary of Kasugho

According to Mr. Juan Carlos Bonilla, a citizen of Guatemala, vice president of global environmental organization "Dian Fossey Gorilla Foundation", six rotations in total will be made to ensure the transfer of six primates to the center GRACE (Gorilla Conservation and Rehabilitation Education Center ) of Kasugho, near the Tayna Nature Reserve, in Lubero territory.

Statistics from the Congolese Institute for Conservation of Nature (I.C.C.N.) / Nord Kivu report of four baby gorillas mountain also returned after a socialization center Kinigi Rwanda.

If the gorillas return why men do not they return?

Ago in Rwanda, more than 53,000 Congolese refugees and 89,000 Rwandans in the Democratic Republic of Congo.

As primates Congolese refugees have fled insecurity and violence in the wars that ravaged the Great Lakes region since 1993.

While the Congolese refugees yearn to return home, Rwandans refugees in Congo wish to be naturalized.

Differences between groups of refugees, lies mainly in how they are entered in their host country.

After the genocide in Rwanda in 1994, the Hutus have virtually invaded the Congo (then Zaire) with the blessing of the international community, creating insecurity, which forced the Congolese (mainly Congolese Tutsi) to seek refuge in Rwanda.

Years later, these same Hutu refugees from Rwanda are sowing terror in the regions east of the DRC, the natives ransom, rape their women, etc. ...

Their bad reputation is reflected in their poor fellow "refugees normal" who dream of integrating parts of the DRC and to be forgotten.

This deplorable situation has greatly affected the Belgian King H.M., Albert II, when handed the King Baudouin Prize for Development in the Congolese doctor, who treats Denis Mukwege in very difficult conditions raped women of the Great Lakes.

He called on the EU and the UN to help the DR Congo and neighboring countries to end this situation in his message at the Belgian National Day,  July 21, 2011.
