Ethiopia: Reign on the Emperor in absence of the Empire!

Submitted by 120 soldiers during the Revolution September 12, 1974, Emperor Haile Selassie I has been officially declared dead by heart attack. 
         In fact the old emperor aged 83 who had ruled Ethiopia since April 3, 1930 would have been smothered under a pillow soaked in ether by a nurse under the command of Colonel Mengistu Haile Maryam August 27, 1975.
During the Mengistu regime, Ethiopians anxiously wondering where the emperor was buried. On February 16, 1992, one year after the fall of Mengistu, the bones of the ex-emperor came under the office of the former president. Indeed, 27 August 1975, the remains of the king of kings had been secretly buried three meters under the floor of the office.
          Mengistu Haile Maryam could receive visitors on the corpse of his predecessor.
In February 1992, his remains were buried in the mausoleum of Menelik II before the state funeral November 5, 2000 in the Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa.

Since his fall in 1991, Mengistu fled to Zimbabwe where he lives under the protection of Robert Mugabe, despite his death sentence in absentia on 26 May 2008.
