France-Afrique: François Mitterrand: Small words to describe the evils!

If one were to summarize the Africa policy of François Mitterrand in two quips, here they are.

While interior minister in the government Mendes France, he said Nov. 5, 1954 in the National Assembly about the Algerian independence movement: "The Algerian rebellion can not find a terminal form: war".
In July 1994, during the genocide in Rwanda which France is accused of complicity, then President of the Republic, François Mitterrand, who followed a daily basis the progress of the war said: "In these countries, genocide, the n is not too important ". This statement was reported by Patrick De Saint-Exupery in "Le Figaro" of January 12, 1998.

"Socialist President or politician going into the war?"
