The last miraculously healed of Japan.

 
Tsutomu Yamaguchi was born in Nagasaki March 16, 1916. After receiving his engineering degree, he worked for Mitsubishi Heavy Industries shipyard. On August 6, 1945, the day of the release of the first atomic bomb by US-B-29, he went to Hiroshima for a business trip. He was then 29 years.

        
He is part of 140,000 survivors of the atomic explosion in Hiroshima. Badly burned arms, he spent a night in Hiroshima before returning to join his family in his hometown Nagasaki. On August 9, 1945, Nagasaki was bombed (75,000 deaths). He is again among the 70,000 survivors of the bombing.

        
He is recognized "hibakusha (survivors of the bomb)" for the bombing of Nagasaki only. On March 23, 2009, 63 years later, after a long battle administrative, it is finally recognized as a victim also of that of Hiroshima. At  93 years!

        
A person recognized as "hibakusha" receives compensation from the government, including medical expenses and funeral expenses.

To describe the horror caused by the bomb which he had named his mother "-B29 Enola Gay" after dropping his bomb, he said: "If Dante had been in the plane with us, it would have been terrified! "

        
Tsutomi Yamaguchi died at Nagasaki January 4, 2010 of stomach cancer.
